Biblical worldview is seeing the world through the perspective that God sees, according to His Word.
Worldview is the way we see the world, the patterns of the world, and our response to how we will live in the world. Every person and organization has a worldview or perspective of reality. Our perspective will influence our thought patterns and actions.
Many factors shape the way we see the world (worldview):
- Upbringing/family
- Traditions
- Experiences
- Education
- Belief systems
- Surrounding culture
- Government
- Media
When we read and understand scripture and God’s plan for the world, it shapes the way we see and understand the things around us. God wants us to process and filter everything according to His plan and purposes. Biblical worldview transcends government, politics, cultural differences, and economics.
The Bible Is The Foundation Of All Successful Business Practices
1 Peter 1 “But the Word of the Lord stands forever.”
Ecclesiastes 1:9 “There is nothing new under the sun.”
Galatians 5:22 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness.”
In Ecclesiastes 1:9 Solomon proclaimed that “there is nothing new under the sun.” This phrase is true of all things, both righteous and unrighteous. Although the world changes quickly, every generation faces the same fundamental problems, temptations, and challenges.
The Bible is the foundation of truth for all generations. Principles found in the Bible are the source for every business practice that works. For example, the qualities of honesty, reliable work, trust, excellence, value, loyalty, fairness, and commitment are taught and emphasized in the Bible and remain true despite economic, social, or cultural changes. Many times best-selling business books validate Biblical principles 
without the author even knowing it.
In Galatians 5:22, we are taught that the fruits of the Spirit can be successfully applied in any social or cultural setting. “Against these things there is no law.” When we activate love, joy, peace, kindness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control into our business activities,
we will experience true success.
By viewing the world through the lens of biblical truth, we begin to see things the way that God sees them.
Transformation Of Culture Begins With The Individual
Romans 12:2 “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ He is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!”
We are responsible! Transformational change in a nation must start with us as individuals. We each have the ability to strengthen the spiritual and economic fibre of our nation through our individual actions.
The Holy Spirit gives regenerated Christians the power to obey God and live in a manner that pleases Him. Daily surrender and obedience to God by honouring His laws and principles can change nations! Christians should not become discouraged when we feel we are the only ones trying to act justly. God sees into the heart. He will bless obedience and will use believers to influence others. Faithfulness to God in this life on earth will bear fruit for eternity.
Cultural belief systems and values can either help or hinder a nation’s economic progress. Collective values, belief systems, attitudes, and practices greatly determine the spiritual and economic situation of a nation. Cultural attitudes transcend behavioural patterns and laws. Many times in developing nations people do not expect excellence or order because they believe that their culture will never change. Ideas, attitudes, beliefs, and values must align with God’s word, not cultural norms, in order for transformation to take place. This begins with our own attitudes and thought processes. The Bible commands in Romans 12:2 that we renew our minds. When we renew our minds by reflecting on the word of God, we are equipped to be cultural change agents.
Person by person, hearts must be transformed. A transformed individual will bring his new beliefs, values, and attitudes to bear on the economic and political systems and will begin to influence the collective culture.
God’s Spirit must change an individual’s heart and mind. A change in governmental leadership or the system of government will not produce lasting cultural transformation.

God Wants To Bless People And Nations Spiritually, Socially, And Economically
Genesis 12:2-3 “I will bless you… and you will be a blessing. …and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”
God very clearly tells us in Deuteronomy 28 that if we obey His commands, He will bless us. These blessings include abundance, prosperity and productivity. God wants to bless people and nations for obeying His commands. He also tells us that there are consequences for not obeying God’s laws. The results of disobedience are curses that follow people and nations. Confusion is one of these curses. Many under-developed nations operate under a spirit of confusion and disorder. This can be attributed to generations of people and leaders acting in disobedience to God’s laws.
Spiritual Blessings
God uses the marketplace to redeem people and nations. Believers in the marketplace are called to be His agents in bringing hope and life to people and nations. Businesspersons who submit to the guidance of the Holy Spirit bring spiritual truth and life to the world around us. We are to exercise truth by word and by deed. The way we conduct ourselves and our business affairs is effective in pointing people towards Jesus Christ.
Societal Blessings
God uses His people in the marketplace to impact culture in a positive way. Christians in business should provide solutions to problems that burden society. The world is looking for answers. Believers are to put the gospel into action in everyday life. When we are able to impact society and culture in a positive way, we have blessed the city and nation. People will be more open to hearing about the truth of God when they experience the positive effects of Christians living out His principles in the real world.
Financial Blessings
Finally, God desires to use His people in business to financially bless people, communities, the Church and the advance of the Gospel. As we conduct ourselves and our business activities under God’s principles, He will bless us financially. As we are blessed financially,
we are commanded to be a blessing to others, and eventually “all the families (or nations) of the earth.”
Kingdom Business Is Multi-Generational
Philippians 1:6 “…being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
God is a multi-generational God. Many times He is referred to as “the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.” God works through families and generations to accomplish His goals. One of Satan’s most strategic tactics is to break generational transfer so that each generation must start over.
God’s plan is for every generation to learn and grow upon the values, knowledge, and skills from the previous generations. Selfish people only live for themselves and their time. Godly people recognize the importance of sowing seeds for generations to come.
If our vision for life and business does not go beyond our own lifetime, it is too small. God is interested in helping people who will build a legacy that lasts beyond their own lives. As business leaders focused on the Great Commission, we must think and plan for future generations.
Philippians 1:6 says that God will carry out to completion the good things He has begun in us until the second coming of the Lord. In other words, God is dedicated to success! He has made all of us recipients of the good things He has done in generations past and will continue to build on our lives for generations to come.
It is very important that people in developing nations grasp a multi-generational mindset. Believers in the marketplace are to initiate cultural, economic, and personal change that will have significant effects on future generations.
